NCASA Art Showcase

Selected 4th and 5th grade students will represent East Elementary in the NCASA Art Showcase, a statewide celebration of student creativity. These young artists will create their entries during an after-school art club beginning September 17th. Final submissions will be chosen on January 13th and sent to the regional showcase on January 16th.

We’re so proud of our talented student artists—go East Cobras! 💛🖌️

What is the NCASA Art Showcase?

The North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities (NCASA) Art Showcase is a statewide program that celebrates the artistic talents of students in grades K–12. This annual showcase gives students the opportunity to create and submit original artwork to be judged and displayed alongside entries from schools across North Carolina.

Through the Art Showcase, students explore creativity, build confidence, and share their artistic voices with a wider audience. Participation encourages young artists to develop their skills while representing their school and community with pride.

2025-2026 Art Showcase Prompt

American Mosaic

Like America, a mosaic is made of many small pieces that come together to form a larger picture. Create artwork that represents America’s diverse cultures, communities, and connections through patterns, faces, and textures. Your images may reflect our nation’s past 250 years, its present, or its future.
