Kindergarten Registration 2025-2026 school year

 

Welcome to East Iredell Elementary! 🎉

We are thrilled to welcome you and your child to our school community! Starting kindergarten is such an exciting time, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. At East Iredell Elementary, we strive to provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every child can grow, explore, and succeed. We look forward to seeing your child thrive and make lasting memories during their kindergarten year.

To help guide you through the process of registering your child, please follow these steps:

1. Check Eligibility

• Age Requirement
  • Confirm your child is 5 years old by the cutoff date August 31, 2025
• Check that you are zoned for East Iredell Elementary School 
  • www.issnc.org >About Us >School Attendance Zones >School Locator button
  • Type in your address and your assigned schools will appear
  • If you are not assigned to EIES, but want to enroll in the Dual Immersion program, please email stacey_aken@iss.k12.nc.us

2.  Gather Required Documents

Prepare the following documents for submission:

• Proof of Child’s Age
  •  Birth certificate or passport.
• Proof of Residency
  •  Utility bill (water, electricity, internet) or lease agreement.
  • Must include parent or guardian’s name and address on the proof of residence
• Parent/Guardian’s ID
  • Driver’s license or Passport
• Immunization Records
  • Documentation of required vaccinations.
• Health Records: Physical exam 
  • Go to this link https://www.issnc.org/enrolling-in-school-25-26
  • Scroll down until you see the Health Assessment in red and click on that link, it will give you the Health Form you need for the physical

3. Complete the Registration Forms

• Visit the Iredell-Statesville School website https://www.issnc.org/enroll
• The enrollment form cannot be submitted on a mobile device, you must use a laptop or desktop computer.
• If you are wanting to enroll to EIES for the Dual Immersion program, put East Elementary as your preferred school when registering.

4. Submit the Documents

• Submit the completed registration form and all necessary documents either email stacey_aken@iss.k12.nc.us or in person at the school.

5. Attend an Information Session (Optional)

• Come to our Kindergarten Registration Open House for a tour of the school
  • March 5th 2025 @ 8:30am or 
  • April 9th, 2025 @ 8:30am

6. Wait for Confirmation

• After registration, the school will confirm your child’s enrollment, via email or text

7. Prepare for Kindergarten

• Begin preparing your child for their first school year with school supplies, new routines, and lots of excitement!

8. Stay Informed

• Watch for updates from the school regarding any further steps or important dates.
